Principal Message: Indira School and College of Nursing was established in the year 2006 with
B.Sc (Nursing) 4 years and DGNM 3 ½ years and now 3 years course. In the year 2010, M.Sc
(Nursing) with 25 seats in all five specialties was established. The college and School has
gradually stretched its wings and on the path of glorious nursing practices. Our Alumni are there
across the globe and also in various states of the country. Our institute has knowledgeable
faculty that helped us to attain 100% result and campus placements. The students have excelled
in all domains of learning. The institution believes in a holistic development of the learners. I
believe that all these domains have been well utilized by my faculty members and students. We
stand as an inspiration and empower young nurses to serve the nation and the world.

Academic Profile: Dr M.Kavitha RN RM, Msc (N), Phd. She obtained the Bachelors of Science
and Master of Science in Nursing from Sharmila College of Nursing and Adhiparasakthi college
of Nursing under the Tamilnadu Dr.M.G.R.Medical University, Chennai in 1998 and 2004
respectively. She started her career as Lecturer and rose to the position of Principal. She has
more than 24 years of teaching experience on Nursing Service, Nursing Education and Nursing
Research in different positions at various Universities. She is a member of Trained Nurses
Association of India. She has organized many seminars and workshops. She has published
numerous articles in various International journals. She strives hard to be a good academician,
administrator and critical researcher.
