Mr.V.G.Raajendran, an esteemed professional in the construction industry and a visionary with wide-ranging interests, established Indira Educational & Charitable Trust in the year 2002 with the objective of providing world class professional education to deserving students, apart from rendering service to masses of Thiruvallur area.

Being a keen observer, the Chairman and Smt.IndiraRaajendran, his better half and valued Managing Trustee, with their intrinsic ability and with great vision identified the need for strengthening Healthcare and Paramedical facilities available to the local population. With this mission and zeal, this remarkable couple established two nursing institutions to offer B.Sc(Nursing) and Diploma in Nursing courses. This is the genesis of Indira College of Nursing and Indira School of Nursing.
